Martin Chilcott

Martin Chilcott is a social and environmental entrepreneur and CEO of 2degrees. Three years ago he founded Meltwater Ventures, an Oxford based environmental business incubator. Meltwater is currently incubating four environmental businesses – 2degrees being one of these.
Prior to Meltwater, Martin was founding partner and director of Clarity IBD Ltd, one of the UK’s leading e-business consultancies - sold in April 2000 to Proxicom Inc of the USA. Although Martin's passion is for fast growth entrepreneurial businesses, he has also worked in large corporations as both a consultant and a senior executive. His last corporate roles were as Global Head of Innovation at Proxicom Inc. and Group Marketing Director of the global IT integrator, Dimension Data plc.
He is also a director of a specialist education consultancy called Place Group which works with the UK government, local education authorities and schools.
Martin lives in Oxford and is a graduate of Clare College, Cambridge University.
