Adrian Fernando
Chief Operating Officer

Adrian Fernando joined EcoSecurities in 2007 as Chief Operating Officer. Mr Fernando has over seventeen years of experience in the energy sector, and for the last four years held the board level position of Business Development Director for Star Energy plc, an AIM quoted midstream and upstream oil and gas business. At Star Energy, Mr Fernando was responsible for the development of a gas storage business, including negotiation of long term off-take agreements, resolving regulatory issues and setting up commercial operations. Prior to joining Star, he spent almost 12 years at Amerada Hess Limited where he held several positions, culminating in the position of Deputy Managing Director of Amerada Energy Marketing and Trading. Mr Fernando has a BA in Economics and an MPhil in Development Studies. He began his career as an Economic Advisor for the United Nations in Central America.
As EcoSecurities' Chief Operating Officer, Mr Fernando will be running all operational aspects of the company, with an initial focus on developing and improving organisational systems and processes globally. His specific emphasis will be on the core activities of Origination and Implementation of carbon credits for the Group.
